Graphic Design: Advanced - More Research

I'm still doing some research because the style I've chosen is not the best. So let's look at other styles and go for something creative...

Project Task:                     Design a range of greeting cards

Target audience:               16-34 year olds

Format:                             Suggested card sizes are 159mm x 159mm, 121mm x 184mm, 137mm x 159mm, 110mm x 210mm
                                         BUT any card format is acceptable

Deliverables:                    Design at least 4 different greetings cards

Mandatories:                    Front page design;
                                        Design for the inside of the card;
                                        A range name and logo to be printed on the back page;
                                        Envelope colour or design;
                                        Add 3mm bleed to all artwork supplied.

Branding considerations: UK Greetings has a logo which should be used on the back of the cards.

Supplied Materials:         High resolution versions of the logo

Other considerations:      Questions to consider:
o   Who is the recipient?
o   Who is the actual buyer?
o   What is the occasion?
o   Is the card design-led or copy-led?
                                      (Women buy far more cards than men)

Design Direction:          The industry is a very competitive market, therefore it is important to design something that will stand out from the competition. Remember who you are targeting. De some research into what types of cards are being sent to this target group and why. Try to do something different to what is already out there.

Delivery date:                10th June 2013
