Project Task:                     Design a range of greeting cards

Target audience:               16-34 year olds

Format:                             Suggested card sizes are 159mm x 159mm, 121mm x 184mm, 137mm x 159mm, 110mm x 210mm
                                         BUT any card format is acceptable

Deliverables:                    Design at least 4 different greetings cards

Mandatories:                    Front page design;
                                        Design for the inside of the card;
                                        A range name and logo to be printed on the back page;
                                        Envelope colour or design;
                                        Add 3mm bleed to all artwork supplied.

Branding considerations: UK Greetings has a logo which should be used on the back of the cards.

Supplied Materials:         High resolution versions of the logo

Other considerations:      Questions to consider:
o   Who is the recipient?
o   Who is the actual buyer?
o   What is the occasion?
o   Is the card design-led or copy-led?
                                      (Women buy far more cards than men)

Design Direction:          The industry is a very competitive market, therefore it is important to design something that will stand out from the competition. Remember who you are targeting. De some research into what types of cards are being sent to this target group and why. Try to do something different to what is already out there.

Graded Unit - Finished Visuals

Here are some pieces of my interactive infographic, as the finished swf file doesn't want to work here.
I slightly altered all the body shapes, so they don't look the same. This is the hourglass on the left, and the straight on the right.

These are the dresses for the body shapes. I also added some shades and applied the same colour to all of them.

These colours show the colours of the seasons. The top is for  spring, the middle for summer and the bottom for autumn.

These are descriptions of two types of looks. Every season has 3 types.
This is the first page of the infographic, after the intro.

This page gives you the option to choose your body shape and then you'll see what type of clothes look the best on you.

Here are the best options for an apple shape.

This page provides information about all four seasons, and you can choose which one you are. Then you'll see what colours suit you the most.

These colours suit a winter person the most, the colour of winter.

Graded Unit - Research and Body Shapes

I've found some great articles about body shapes and seasons. My favorite one is on channel4: Gok Wan has a really good explanation about all the body types here.

I also finished my illustrations for the 5 body shapes:

Client Initiated Project

The latest project we were working on was a client initiated project. We chose to do the online course How Oil Is Formed. This is our final work as a group.
